DO you have some tutorial for pinterest? I'm curious about this method.
I don't, sorry!
Even when I did Pinterest, I still didn't use a guide, I just trial and error'd my way through it, and eventually I got a constant flow of "passive" traffic for a couple of weeks before I burnt out and quit after a month or so...
I put "passive" in quotes because (at that time at least) the traffic on my pins was indeed passive but the scumbag Pinterest forced me into being their slave 24/7 in order for my old pins to keep getting "residual" traffic.
I know this because I set my mind to either make it or break it with Pinterest back then (5-6 years ago), so I got in the rhythm of constantly making pins and posting them but also engaging in the activities of other boards (this was crucial back then in order to get your pins seen, you really had to spend hours participating in other people's boards, liking, re-pinning, commenting, etc...)
So anyway, I got in the rhythm of making pins, publishing them (I think I was publishing 5-10 per day), then participating in other people's boards for 2-3 hours a day (I was really active as I said), and - in return for this - my own pins got promoted by the algorithm on other people's boards, and that's how I got the "passive" traffic and it's true that this traffic did add up quite nicely if you choose to become Pinterest's slave, but as soon as you stopped posting pins or engaging with other boards even for 24 hours your own pins would also stop being promoted. Typical technological slavery in which the people are milked of their energy by the machines...
Anyway, during this whole month of intense activity I have noticed that a few niches / industries were far more successful than others. At that time, I was being heavily interested (and promoting them, of course) in 4 things:
- home schooling
- sushi
- hydroponic gardening
- um... I don't remember the 4th one LOL, sorry about that
But anyway, I was promoting all 4 of these topics equally, and I noticed that the sushi niche was getting an absurd amount of traffic. It's true that I also optimized the crap out of the pins and made the content on them very enticing (I guess I've always had a knack for creating compelling text), but even so, my Sushi pins were getting like 6-7x the amount of traffic of the other 3 niches.... or rather, 6-7x the amount of traffic of the least performing niche (the 4th one that I don't remember), because the home schooling and hydroponic gardening ones were also getting fair bits of traffic themselves (home schooling was getting twice the amount of traffic as the 4th niche, while the gardening one was getting 3x the traffic, so they got decent traffic too)
But the Sushi one (and the food / recipes niche in general) was getting pins and re-pins like crazy, and that's not a secret if you'll spend enough time on Pinterest as there are some niches / industries that are crazily popular on Pinterest. Also, Pinterest is dominated by female audience, so if you intend to try your luck with it choose stuff that caters to women mostly, such as...
- foods
- fashion & beauty
- jewelry
- luxury stuff (cars, resorts, yachts, etc)... ok, the luxury stuff part is mostly for males, but still
- decoration, drawing (creative stuff in general), home improvement
- gardening can work too like I said...
And I'm sure that there are more topics that could work with Pinterest (IF Pinterest still works that is, as I've heard it's been flooded by AI lately, so there's that too!), but I don't remember them... But I think you can find a breakdown of the hottest / most popular topics if you google it, I don't think this information is secret.
But if it's still like in the old days, be ready to sweat your ass off slaving away for Pinterest, otherwise I don't think you'll get much benefit.
Personally (and had I still had interest in this site) I would probably buy Pinterest ads this time, but even with ads you still need to be careful because I don't think they allow affiliate links, and nowadays I think they put focus on video pins / ads more than image pins... actually, even back then video pins / ads were becoming the norm and Pinterest was forcing people to focus on video pins more than on image pins by pushing the video pins more than the image ones, and this had been brutal for someone like me who doesn't like showing up on video, or to make videos generally speaking. Which is one of the main reasons for which I've quit doing Pinterest....
Anyway, sorry that I don't have a guide, but I hope these tips helped a little...
