Need to verify Paypal account but not possible

I am using a stealth paypal account and today when logging in I got a message that there was some unusual activity and I need to verify my account by receiving an SMS or autmated call.

Now the number used on this account does not exist anymore, so I added a new number, but then it says "This number seems not to be registered in your name, please try again". This message appears 1 second after clicking submit, so how could they check anywhere if it is registered in my name, and what if I use a prepaid phone?

So I need to know how to solve this because there is still money in this account which I want to withdraw.

So nobody knows this? I think this is a common error message when trying to add a new number, but there must be a way to solve this.

First of all PayPal give 3 options to verify.
1 receive text messages
2 receive automated call
3 upload ID proof

When we choose option 1 then they give Only one chance for 1 number and remove that number from list after unsuccessful attempt.
Then they give options for automated call.
There is no way to add a new number it always show error to everyone that this number is not registered under your name.
If you are out of options to verify then they lock account and ask for ID proof or address proof.
I am not sure about it and follow it at your own risk.

Well, then how to receive call or sms if you have a new phone number and the old one is invalid, because e.g. you moved to a new address or you have a new phone provider?

Call them. If they ask for ID proof or address proof then it can be created.

Hmm well how to create ID proof or address proof? For address proof they need credit card statement or utility bill, right?

You can call their support number and tell them you no longer have the access to the registered mobile number.

and if they ask for documents? because just anyone could call in and ask to make changes on a paypal account he does not own.
