Need to verify 5 million emails.

    I have this list of emails that's around 5 million, And some are like ....!aol.com and random bullshit like that. Is there a program out there that will run through the list and verify that they are actually emails?

    i am not sure there is a way to do that? i guess you can try to send an email to each one and see if it successfully sends...

    What about a program that would find "advancedbutthole@aol.co" and automatically add the "m" at the end of ".com"

    paste in to notepad and do find-and-replace ".co" with ".com"

    I don't know of any software that can actually do that but I know it's certainly possible. That's why I would say that there must be a program for that, you just have to find it! Verifying an e-mail address basically requires at least the following steps:

    Syntax verification: IETF standards (more info here)
    DNS validation: MX record(s)
    SMTP connection and availability check

    I know that the list above might not make too much sense for you but if you hire a programmer to create a software for you that list might come in handy :)
