Need to overtake a particular site

Hi all, I am new to the forums here but have been reading for a while .

I am interested in hiring someone so that a site that I am working on can overtake a particularly irritating one that ranks above it for all of it's keywords.

I understand that sometimes the best way to move up is to 'shoot the guy in front of you.'

Based on what I am reading, this is fairly simple to do, but I am quite new to the blackhat mentality and have never really done anything blackhat before.

If anyone can help me please drop me a PM on what you propose and how much it will cost.

I am open to suggestions .

Three ways... (actually probably many ways)

1. Work, build links, social networks, blog post, forum posts, videos... WORK and achieve the very good feeling of passing them with you own efforts...

2. Hire someone here to mail out a sales letter (make certain you are not tied to it in anyway) to about 50k people (or more), with that site as a link in the letter, the site will get multiple spam complaints.

3. Add their site to as many link farms as you can, as quick as you can... google will sandbox them (again, keep your own identify hidden).

Best is #1, but all would work.

Hi showbizvet, thank you for the advice, I am already doing #1, well the first 4 things you mentioned anyhow. They are particularly stubborn though.

Their site already seems to have quite a few spammy IBLs, I worry that I'd actually help them doing #3! My understanding is that G doesn't tend to penalise people for link farms anymore, as they realise webmasters can't really control if someone else submits their site, more that G just doesn't count such links.

As for #2, interesting idea? Most effective one? Costs?

you may be right on link farms, since I've stayed far away from them, I certainly don't have the latest...

re: #1... hire an outsourcer to hit it hard and build some mini-nets IN ADDITION to what you are going already.

In advertising they generally say... "don't stop what you're already doing, instead add to it".
