I found a wordpress tutorial that is very well put.... doesn't look difficult.

However, I'm about to start my journey to IM.... and I need to know how to make websites. I plan to learn some HTML and other programs... however, I know it's hard... so I want to learn WordPress.

Anyhow, How hard is it to create a custom WordPress theme or template?

Could I build a website business based on WordPress????

wordpress is not that much hard as you are thinking, there are lots of videos available of wordpress on youtube.Making custom theme is a little difficult i think.making websites in wordpress is very easy

Creating a custom theme from scratch will be way easier with basic HTML/CSS and bootstraps.

However, you may only want to get wordpress, get a good looking theme and tweak it a little bit to fits your need, it's way more easy.

Wordpress is teh way to go if you wanna build website on a large scale. It's just an amazing CMS. Possibilities are endless.

Wordpress is crazy easy, just don't get overwhelmed when you see the dashboard ... half that stuff you probably won't touch, at least not right away.

You won't have to need much experience making a theme because there are many mant nice themes to choose from. Check out the download section here BHW there are a lot of nice ones.

First you need to learn HTML and CSS. Then go with PHP. After you have decent knowledge with these 3, go to WP.

You don't need that much PHP if you don't want to create some advanced features like theme's control panel etc.

HTML and CSS are mandatory, you can't do anything without them.

wordpress is really easy to learn. But i suggest you to learn basics of html / css to know how to Customize Wordpress Themes

A good first exercise would be to download a well known free theme such as something from WooThemes (they have legitimate free ones) and practice via creating a child theme.

Thus you can start using a theme template that's already created, but practice your CSS and HTML edits in the child theme files. It's a good way to isolate what does what.

Also, firebug on Firefox is basically mandatory.

I saw a few udemy courses for $10, I was enrolled in one actually, Great course to learn wordpress.

Yes, you can try to use wordpress or blogger.com . Both Ok . There are a ton guide on google. Try your best to get it.

Hope you'll sucess

it took me like 2 days to learn WP, enough for IM, it's fvcking easy, learn yourself

You can buy a premium theme if trouble with a custom theme. Do not waste your time. You only succeed if you are successful marketing techniques

You can setup Wordpress with Softaculous auto installer quite simply in under 7 minutes by typing in everything semi-automatically.

I learned the harder style by using semi-manual methods such as Swiftly installing it via the php files and doing it that way.

Try both so you get a better understand the Stealth involved with the Blackhat Reverse Engineer mindset of this lifestyle.

Just find manuals on how to make simple wordpress theme, i have seen plenty, then try make one and train skill to make coooler... ;)

Just buy a nice theme and install some simple plugins to fit your needs. Take some time to trial and error along the way but that's how we all learn.
