extension is doesn't matter. You can choose any one .org or .net.

ORG was always ment for non-profit organization and if it is for your money site .NET looks better in the eyes of reader...

It seems people have different ideas as to which one is better.

I have seen a .net domain ranked for a keyword for months, the same with a .org, so when it comes to seo, you probably should go for anyone you love.

My vote goes towards .org always. It has more trust element and as far as I have seen - it ranks better with less force.
