Need to know if .org or .net is better

I am buying 5 domains to complete a micro niche service that I purchased.

I was given 5 domain names - each with .org and .net

(so actually 10 domain names)

I am suppose to purchase so he can finish. Any preference over the .org or .net?

I always use .org when I have both of them available, but it is just my preference :)
 
I really don't think it matters, it's all just a matter of preference when the .com isn't available. I usually go for .net but that's just me lol, doesn't really help since prev poster said .org, but ah well my 2cents.
 
I'd choose .net over a .org as the .org sounds a bit like it's for charity.

.org - Organization
.net - Network

but I may be wrong :)
 
I choose them depending on the niche, .org sounds more serious and it's good for business (IMO), but I prefer .net for niches closer to entertainment and stuff like that.
 
I would definitely go with .net tld.
 
It's really just a matter of preference. If your site is more serious, such as medical or legal related, I would choose .org to sound more professional. However, it really doesn't make much of a difference.
 
Use .org if you are building your own PBN out of it.
Or .net if you are going to use it for money site.
The value is the same, only difference is the way people sees it.

Best answer, Both domains works same in terms of SEO, But if you are serious about your auidence point of view, then go for .org

Yes Nut-knights is right it works the same in SEO but for audience .org is the best! :)
 
.org are genuienly made for non profit organization. Nobody cares much about the general TLD meaning anymore (.com being commercial but you have any kind of website using .com now).
So, it somehow gives a little more trust boost for your website's visitors.
Ranking wise, it doesn't change anything.
 
They are all the same. It doesn't matter to your visitors or search engines. I use all TLDs, including .INFO domains, and they rank well.
 
You have to decide between an organization and a network when building a website when you have only two tlds to choose from. Other than that, it does not a difference.
