Need to get my app downloaded

Client has an app that allows you to make a virtual business card on facebook. He's asking me for help in getting people to download it. We've already tried facebook ads with little success.

Anyone have any bright white/gray hat ideas to get this thing downloaded more often, I'd love to talk to you.

I'm even willing to pay someone to consult on this issue.

Advertise on BHW
bind it with other popular exe file and spread torrentz and YT , use crypter if the app
not illegal .

I do a ton of Android, iphone and facebook app promotion on FB (among many other things) and I can tell you these three ways are great for getting an app started:

-Buy initial app installs
-Facebook PPC
-Setup a fanpage for the app and make it go viral
 
Add a url at the bottom of every generated business card. "to generate your own businesss card, go here ..." sort of thing.

I can buy initial app installs? where do i do that?

also, we've had some trouble with the facbeook ppc. maybe because we were targeting a bad demographic. any WSOs or ebooks or advice you got on runnning an efficient PPC campaign on facebook?
 
Free virtual business card isn't really a good match for PPC on facebook ... the best PPC campaigns on facebook are those that validate a users social presence on the network by liking your fan page.

You should think more away from offering your software directly via ppc and more towards validating the users social presence on facebook with a fanpage that they would love to click like on ... and then using that fanpage to promote your business card app.

Also why not make this into a facebook app instead of an EXE? that alone would increase your users dramatically.

This is exactly right... use ppc to build pages... then exploit your own page.
 
How much are you paying per install, I might have people interested in promoting. Will your client allow content locked traffic?

there's a lot of methods, but if you have budget just buy install from one of the top ad providers.
