    Hello,

So I'm overweight and I want to lose about 30 kg, not only losing weight, I want to have muscles, six packs etc..

Is there anyone who is fit can be my friend on skype and guide me a little? If you are slim and have muscles or fit, please help me out. I need to get fit. Please let me know and I will pm you my skype.

Please don't tell me to find another venue, there must be fit guys on here. I have questions like whether I need supplements, and what I need to eat everyday or how much I need to exercise and what kind of exercises etc..

    Thanks

Here are Few things I am doing to get fit, and i am almost there.

    > Walk for 10 min for every 1 hour you spend in front of your PC.
    > Drink Water, Don't over do it. Just stay hydrated all the time.
    > Gym: Cardio + Weight Training. 6 days a week, Rest on Sunday.
    > Light Food in Dinner. Have your Dinner atleast 3 hours before you goto bed.
    > Don't Starve, Eat Regularly. Keep your Metabolism up all the time.
    > Eat Protein Rich Food, this will Help you build Muscles. More Muscles will require more energy(calories) for maintenance.
    > Have 1 day in a Week with Fruits and Veggies only.

Don't Crave to go hard on Weight loss. Start Slowly, 1-2 lbs in a month will be a good start. Just try to be Physically active

I don't own Health blogs or i am not in Health Niche. I read this things a lot last year.

Weight have a lot to do with genetics too. No matter what I eat, my weight hardly increases. After a lot of effort, I managed to increase it to 64 KG (My Height is 5'11).

Some great points outlined by jigartank1225.

I suggest you stop eating junk food, chocolate and other sweet shit, and start jogging regularly.

You are spot on , but one thing, you should never never workout for entire week. Specially for the same muscle group. Your muscles needs recovery time .and sunday is not enough.

i would suggest you to google Fierce 5 prgram

It's all about lifestyle changes, not diets. You ALWAYS rebound when you diet.. I recommend finding a nice beginners regimen and really sticking to it. Also stick to a doable diet that isn't too strict. Get a gym membership with a nice sauna and sit in that sucker for 30 minutes a day. (Sauna's increase HGH, which increases fat burn & Testosterone)

A lot of people go from 0 to 100 with dieting and it's just not sustainable. I've lost 30 lbs and the main thing I stick to is making it all realistic, and being concious about your health. Cutting out alcohol also has some crazy good effects.

Yeh sure you do. You wanna get fit so bad you could have put on shoes / went for a run / joined a gym... instead you just post a useless thread to vent about being fat.

Here's some advice. Stop talking, thinking, writing, just get your ass up away from the keyboard and go do something you already know you "need" to do.

Fat people don't "need" nutrition advice. They NEED to deny themselves of fat foods then get the fuck up and workout.

Do you not know the difference between healthy food and shit food? Oatmeal & eggs for breakfast? Tuna & broccoli for lunch? Salad for dinner? Veggie shake for snack? The only people who need nutrition advice are those who are already in good shape, have reached natural limits and are trying to get in great shape.

People who are fat can easily get by on the advice you got in elementary school. And your parents unless they were fat too. Eat your veggies. Eat clean protein. Smaller meals more often. Work out. Supplements are useless until you actually get in shape and start hitting natural boundaries. Same with diet advice. After you've been working out and eating healthy long enough, improvements slow down then go to a real bodybuilding forum. You can get the best nutrition advice I know of right here: http://forums.steroid.com/diet-nutrition/ (just by reading!)

People who workout and stay fit don't care to help those who say they're fat and "need to get fit" but can't do something as simple as go running a few weeks before making a useless thread like this. Unless there's money involved. Then sure, I'll take your money and tell you what you've already been told 10,000 times when you were a kid.

Again, you don't need diet advice. That's just another excuse you're telling yourself to stay fat. You need to put shoes on like I do. Then I open the front door and just walk. After 20ft of walking I leap into a light jog. After 5 minutes I speed up the pace and just keep going.

The best advice I can give is to stop thinking about getting fit. When I get done working out I don't think about tomorrows workout. I don't plan and plot what I'm gonna do. I just go about my day then tomorrow comes I put my shoes on again and know what I need to do. The hardest part for most people seems to be 1) shoes 2) door. Then diet. People can say "it's not easy" to change your diet. Say it all you want. But that's only really true when you don't want to get in shape. When you reach that point where you TRULY NEED something your body just fucking does what it needs and once that cycle is initiated it will continue if you REALLY NEED IT.

You're not eating calorie intensive foods. Eat a pound of sunflower seeds every day for a month + regular eating. A pound of sunflower seeds has 2655 calories and 95g of protein. Combined with regular eating and you can easily hit 5k calories every day. A 500g bag of sunflower seeds is about $2 at WalMart. Also, if you don't like sunflower seeds, peanuts are generally the same in nutritional value. Almonds work too, but are a bit more expensive.

Learn how to make a high calorie smoothie as those are easy to boost daily calorie intake as well. Put things like rolled oats, milk, greek yogurt and 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Easy 1000+ calories out of 750ml. And all the stuff I've mentioned tastes good and is relatively cheap when bought in bulk.

Consistency is key. Most people don't realize just how difficult it can be to gain weight for people with high metabolisms.

I used to be obese 10 yrs ago about 97 kgs!

That time in 5 months with rigorous training and diet i lost inches and kgs!

I went till 64 kgs, but according to my height i need to be 70kgs.

So here i am ~70kgs now!

You need to follow a good diet, no junk food at all!

In a week workout for 6 days and 1 day rest. Starting you will loose weight fast. But at one point it will get stuck! Don't loose hope, eventually you will see results!

I am not muscular, but i am fit!

    Thanks

You can start by understanding theres a big difference between losing weight, getting fit and building muscle.

    Lose weight-eat less,move more
get fit- do loads of cardio
    build muscle-lift weights

Having a lot of muscle isn't good for being fit, you seen how skinny long distance runners are? Isn't healthy either, quite a few studies showing x amount of muscle puts more strain on your heart than x amount of fat.

I'd also add that 90% of people that you think look big/ripped are on steroids
