Need To Destroy A Former-Client's Wordpress Site

Can't you take at least most important links down?

Just an advice for the future clients - instead posting to free web 2.0's, try renting out 10-20 blogs with links. This way if client stops paying you, simply take down links and ranks will drop pretty fast.

Btw, dont bother much with "negative seo" - last time I tried, I built 300 links in 1 hour from de-indexed blogs.. and that bumped prospect from #4 to #1 :D so... better try taking links down.

there are lots of people like that on the internet. believe it or not, it's just life. That's why you need to be professional next time and get a real contract in order to protect yourself in advance. Building business based on trust alone and nothing else is just looking for suicide. Learn your lessons mate
 
Bottom line have clear billing. Have a strict payment policy. Give clients detailed invoicing outlaying exactly what work you did and how much you charged for it. After many years in business I have learned that my system works. I send all my clients an Invoice at months end. Its a detailed invoice that will list every bit of work they are being charged for...ie theres nothing on my invoices to query, its black and white facts. You get a monthly invoice off me wheter you owe me $10,000 or one Dollar.

I expect payment within 7 days from the invoice being issued. If i havent received payment then I am on the phone to whoever issues the cheques in the business. Usually a secretary or with bigger clients a financial controller or accounts department. I can be fobbed off for twenty four hours only(boss isnt in the office etc) but after that everyone in the company will be aware that I need to be paid asap or no more work is getting done.

I might sound like a prick but I am the sort of prick that gets paid.

All of this sounds like the boring part of business and it is, but it is the most important part. Take my template above and use it. If you are not prepared to chase "YOUR" money like this then do not even consider being self-employed because I guarantee you, you wont make it.

Revenge is never the best option - that said, the best revenge would be his biggest competitor succeeding - maybe try to work for them - brag about it to him and move on.

E.g.: If he's christian, get some muslim hacker's index.html file.
That won't get traced to you, as long as you use another IP (the hosts keep IP logs).

I need something that I can put on his Wordpress install that will destroy his website. I can't just remove it outright because he's a litigious bastard and he'll try to take me to court if I just remove it. So I need something that I can upload to his site that looks like a virus from another country ... like's it's really been hacked. And I can just say "I quit keeping backups a few months ago when you quit paying your bills ... sorry you got hacked but there's nothing I can do about it."

Can anyone help me out?

If you have access to his wordpress install...... just delete the site and tell him he owes you 10 grand.

I smell something very fishy here...
 
Why do people keep posting these type of threads? Dude... just sue if you got a case.
 
in the short time that I've been doing this for a living, I've learned a few things, contracts are good, but getting pre paid is better. I don't begin untill I get paid first. 10k is a lot of money, if you were paid by check before, and win a court settlement, small claims for example, you can take a cancelled check to the customers bank and withdraw the funds, assuming they haven't cleared out their funds. I've never done this, but a pretty big seo company told me about this.
