Need to clarify something with a MOD!!

Just wanted to clarify if this is with in the rules as i have felt the ban hammer before and it hurts.

Someone has PM'd me asking for me to create them a bot for $$, am i able to do this or is it against the rules.

I guess that would be okay but then again a mod would be in a better position to answer that.

A newbie approach to the safe side could be to have him post in the Hire a Freelancer and then respond? It is a detour but definitely allowed then.

I would assume that the rules are intended to prevent non-trusted members from soliciting business, and also to limit the "pool" of potential members subjected to having their issues adjudicated in the Shitlist Thread section to only those that have been approved by Forum Staff.

Since you didn't solicit them, and they found you instead, not only do I think it's "legal", but I also think that it would be impossible to do it otherwise. What you could do, what I have done in the past, is to move all inquiries that might be in the least bit questionable off the forum and onto a Skype chat.
