    I am trying to change the background color on a specific page with CSS and not having any luck.

    The background color on the main site is fine although i have 2-3 pages that i need to change to gradient background.

    You can specify a class name for each pages that you wanna have a different color.
    Then just create a style using css for it.

    Goodluck!

    you can assign class to body tag then change background of that class like
    body.about-us{background:#333;}

    You can either assign body class, or create page template, then specify the bg color on css. Hope that helps.
