Need Tips For Promoting A Fully 100% White Hat Site

he wants 100% white hat, any tips on what should be added to the site (plugins), plus methods of promotion and ways to profit from it.

Yeah the primary focus should be on making the website look ace.

Directories are an old school way of building links - there's some lists on here that should be helpful.

I would submit a few PRs every time something new happens - i.e. site launches, adds a new feature etc - the links aren't worth much but they can drive traffic and get bloggers and journalists to write about you.

Join a few business communities online that allow member blogs - these will give you some relevant links but will also get you some traffic as well.

Join some forums and put your link in the sig with some relevant anchor text - not great quality links, but it can help with traffic.

Those are just some of the classic ways to build traffic. Once he has worked out his core keywords he wants to rank for, some on page optimisation and a good link building campaign would be pretty helpful.

Also, use Technorati and Alexa to figure out which blogs that you need to focus your commenting efforts on. Posting comments regularly on the higher ranked blogs may drive more traffic to your site and allow you to gradually build upthe recognition of your brand. Participating on Mybloglog and blogcatalog might also be easy ways to drive traffic, while networking through those sites can help you find bloggers willing to link to your site.

Post your site on High PR sites, posting on do follow blogs, have xrumer/hrefer pull forums targeted to that niche and do a small blast weekly.

Also you can look which pages rank well for your search terms and try to get links there...

Just get as much content online as you can, because sites with more content get a higher place in google. Furthermore you can try adsense and link trading.

content, looks, patience and social marketing plus a little bit of patience. Thats the key.

To promote use RSS submission, Social bookmarking and directory submission in that order.

hmmm, do some social bookmarking, submit articles to article directories, submit to link directories, rss feeds, set up articles on web 2.0 pages that have "********" enabled (squidoo etc..)

if you're worried about the bad effects of bh that could affect your site, you could always try out your bh marketing efforts on a web 2.0 page that links to your main page - and if it gets shot down, no big deal
