Need thoughts on regional domains?

So basically I want to register a load of regional domains.


However, I need some sort of good name for them.

I saw someone's site, it had a good name. It was like www.[region]today.com


Anyone got any ideas at all? Even if they're common/taken...the version with the country tld may be available.

do subdomains for each region. like pick a good word for the main domain. chicago.today.com or detroit.today.com

you will save yourself a lot of dough this way too.
