Hey,

I just finished building a website that helps users create a resume. I need testers to help me and tell me what they like/dont like about the site/ tell me if they find any bugs.

I would like to get about 10 people to go through my site and take a look. I will pay $1 for the signup after you make a full resume, and I will pay another $1 for any errors you can find. ($1 each error)

Please pm/post here if you would be willing to do it.

Thanks in advance.

So your budget for testing professional business website is 20$?
Good luck with that m8

Not looking for real testers here, just looking for some people to go through the first draft of the website. Once I am happy with this draft I will be having a security company going through it to find holes, and I will be setting up more testing, but for a first look through I dont want to spend too much... And again.. someone could come up with a huge list of bugs and make quite a bit of cash.

Besides the fact that I don't like the design, whats the point to sign up to make a resume when there are lots of free resume websites?!

The point of this is to have resume(s) saved for future use online where you can easily go view/modify/print them from any pc/phone/tablet.

Thanks for the comment on the design, again, this is a first draft, so It will be re-worked, I am trying to focus on the functionality at this point.

Had a look at your site.

First error I saw was the privacy policy page is blank.

Please donate my $1 to the main animal or children's charity in your country.

Seriously though, your site isn't the worst I have ever seen but in my opinion could do with more work.

For starter's you haven't provided a clear reason for people to sign up.
Eg What is the site purpose ?
Is it just to create and store CV's or will you be providing other services ?
At the moment I don't think it is compelling or attractive enough for people to be inclined to sign up.
Please take this as constructive criticism and I wish you all the best with it.
Good Luck

Also putting your tagline into google "build a free resume online" brought up a couple of results that WOULD make me think of signing up with them if I was in the market for such a service.

You said "I need testers to help me and tell me what they like/dont like about the site" so I gave you my opinion. I've researched a bit on this matter and there are already tools that can do much more than what you're trying to do, I don't think the idea has enough potential to be profitable but ofc, I may be wrong. I hope you did your research and thats not the only feature your site will have. Don't take me wrong, don't want to drag you down or something, I just know how it feels to waste time and money on the wrong idea.
Wish you luck!

you must have About US page on this site. Yea, I know, no one read it but its sort of compulsory. I don't think its an error :)

Thanks for all the input guys,

Right now I am seeing a GTFO to the design. I agree it is very basic/does not try and encourage people to sign up. I will be working with a designer to make it look nice and compelling soon.

Thanks for the heads up about he Privacy Policy page, next time I am at a McD's I will toss a loony into the collection pot.

I plan to have more then just the resume builder, but every site needs to start somewhere. Thanks for the criticism. I am not here for an ego boost. I am here to find out what can improve the site. Don't worry about my ego... Rather have a site people want to join then a site that makes me feel good ;)

Under the privacy policy, there's a few spelling errors.
privet -> private
shearing -> sharing
:)

Lol, you caught them before I fixed it.. lol... I put it up,read it, went to edit, come back here and you post.. quick effort on your part...

Want the $1 or want me to toss another dollar to a charity?

Keep the dollar and reinvest it in your site!
