Need suggestions: Domain was transferred one year ago.

Okay I have a question, suppose someone knows some of my personal details, ie: date of birth, address etc. So he reset my email account, then arrange password from my domain provider (ie: GoDaddy, 1and1 etc) using forgot password option and transfer one of my business domain which was registered under my business name. It's more than a year now, however I recovered the email password and domain provider's password. I have more than 100 domains, all are client's domains. This is a web design company.

It's been a while and I did not see that, my business domain is missing. Basically I don't have to update the contents, it's a static site. So I don't check the domain. I just use the email which already connected to Google gmail.

So if I notice now, my domain is missing, can I have it back? it's already under new provider and new name and in another country. It's my business name domain, I got all the business documents, I paid domain and hosting bill for last 6 years. So can I claim it back? or Police can help? But I know who did it.

I need to know this, please share your suggestions.
