Can I ask you why exactly are you looking for it to be done in Perl. I am pretty good in making scraper, although I do it in PHP and tinker it with some bash and stuff when needed.

What an odd choice of language.

I heard someone made something in ColdFusion the other day, but Perl is even funnier.
