Hey I've been lurking on this forum for a while as I've been experimenting with different ways of making money online. So far I've been fairly successful in some ways, but I haven't managed to build any sustainable money source. Therefore I've decided that in order to build a bigger money source I need to learn some new skills, so I chose building a website in to achieve that. My writing skills and coding skills are quite limited (only know basic HTML, CSS and PHP) and know next to nothing about SEO.

Therefore I bought a domain and I installed Wordpress. I chose BitCoin as a niche, because you don't need much knowledge to write about it, yet moneymaking will always be very sought after on the web. The website will contain various blog entries about Bitcoin as well as a Bitcoin handout page (either fake or very low amount). If I manage to attract enough traffic I will probably attempt to sell an ebook and put ads into the site.

What are the biggest mistakes that I should avoid? I don't expect to earn money with this website, I am only attempting to learn about monetizing a website and using a payment system. Thanks.

Since HTML and CSS are not really coding skills. What do you know about PHP? Have you built a site in PHP? Those services alone are worth money.

There is no need of coding skills at all. You can hire someone to do what you want. Most important is to have time for learning... Everyone knows a little coding but not everyone knows what to do with these skills :)
