Need Some SEO Help [Job Related]

Hey guys,

It's been a long time since I've been back, but reading over the site the past few hours, it's great to see BHW is still alive and well!

Before I drivel on, I'd like to address my issue.

Over the past 2 years in particular I've lot touch with a lot of SEO, recent Google updates and current effective SEO and Facebook promotion methods.

I've recently begun a new job and am managing a business' Facebook page, as well as posting on similar niche forums and writing on their blog.

Personally, I'd like to do more than a half-assed job, and I'd really like to provide some results for them and get some sales.

What I ask of the BHW community is some direction, to some notes, information, anything regarding what I have said above.

Ideally; I'd like some up-to-date SEO information, as I'm relatively out of touch, not a newbie guide, but rather an updated guide on what's working and what's not.

If anyone could provide me with some good ideas/resources to recruit Facebook likes that would be excellent too!

If you are looking for a refresher on SEO, a basic guide (even though you aren't a beginner) would probably be the best thing to look at because it will show you everything that has changed from the beginning. You could check out SEOMoz. They have a bunch of great resources on SEO best practices and basic information that could jog your memory.

If you're looking to stay whitehat I'd recommend http://inbound.org/ and https://ahrefs.com/digest/, both are constantly updated with good, more legit stuff

If you're venturing in to greyer areas, http://source-wave.com/ and http://www.thelazymarketer.com/ are pretty good

There are some good threads on BHW if you look around you can find some golden nuggets.

Funny, I just started a job this week as well and I'm leading the SEO/Marketing campaign for their new product coming to the states.

Tao of SEO is a good book to check out, it's 700 pages, goes well into depth of everything.

p.s. I don't know about you but I'm getting some SEO softwares installed onto the work computer...for free. if you know what I mean.
