OK so say there is a company, and they offer affiliates/commissions. (Basically means, someone sends traffic/sales and they get a cut of the profits).

So say there is 1 affiliate who sends like 40% of the sales. 10% is other affiliates. 50% is an in-house SEO/Internet marketing/server/IT etc.
They all do the same thing. the 40% affiliate sends traffic to the site and makes sales. But she gets about $30,000-$40,000/MONTH (no joke). And gets to work from home, on their own hours.
Company even mentioned getting her a car. The in house guy, who is directly responsible for 50% of all sales, only gets a fixed, X,XXX salary.
does that make sense? What would you do?

I assume you are the in-house guy.

Do you pay for any of the expenses related to driving this traffic? I assume for the big baller woman expenses come out of the $30-$40K per month. Do you know her situation? Expense levels? If she outsources any of her work?

If you are in-house and paid by the company, and someone outside the company is responsible for 40% of sales, let her have the car because she's probably the only reason the company is still in business.

I dont see how you figure that? no the company wouldnt be out of business if she wasnt bringing sales.. the sales have tripled since I started working here (yes it is me). I can see your point. I do have some expenses (all the software/tools I use). even if I had to pay for some outside help (and if she does it all herself) They still would be making a butt load more. Just wondering If it's more logical to just become an affiliate or something heh. Granted I would have to start my own site, get that site to have traffic, etc, I could do it if I can do it to the company website.

That actually sucks. If you are confident that you can make more commission that your salary constantly for a long period time then you should leave the job!

I am actually confused....are you looking for a VA to do this?

This sucks and I totally understand why you want to fix this situation.

My perspective: Are you good at driving traffic? I mean, REALLY good? Do you think you could honestly bring as much traffic as that other affiliate?

Yes?
Quit the job and work as a freelance/affiliate for the same company or a competitor.

BUT!
Plan your budget. Think about EVERYTHING.
-- How much would you have to invest? You can't drive that much traffic without spending some money.
-- When you quit the company, you'll loose some benefits. Dental plan, insurance and stuff.
-- Are you working 40h/week at the company? You may have to work 60h/week as a freelance.
-- Etc.

Then, check the bottom line. Is it worth it? Do you think you would be happy as a freelance?
