what exactly are you trying to do? are you trying to load the data from an sql dump file??

if so click on the database you want to load the sql file into

    click on import

click on browse - select your sql file - and then go...

it should now import your data from your sql file...

ya, most scripts come with the sql file and you just need to upload it, if theres something else you need explain and i'll try to guide you through it.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. Ill try to explain.

I am installing a script on my server, nothing fancy, just for a new website.
So after installing the files on the server, the manual of the script goes further with this:

    1. For this you can go to you administration panel the cpanel.
    OK
    **
    2. In see panel click on the icon "MySQL" databases. This will take you to your phpMyadmin.
    OK
    **
    3. In phpMyadmin you should click on your database name and then in the right hand side panel click on the "SQL" Tab.
    OK
    **
    4. On this screen you will see a browse button. Click on it and point to the .sql file located in the "db" directory of the script we sent to you.

    5. Once you execute this file, it will setup the database for you.

So in PHPadmin i click on my db name and it seems that i have to give a command to /db/file.sql to execute my new database.

This is what i get at my phpadmin at that place:

( blurred out some confidential info)

So the big question is, how to execute this command, so my database will b set up.

    BTW ukescuba.
I tried your method, but it seems that i only can upload that file from my hardware instead from my server.

    Thanks guys.

i think they have called the wrong tab you should be on the import tab

download the sql file to your desktop, browse and upload it from there and the do go...

if you really want to run the script as command you can open the sql file and copy and paste the contents into the sql tab and then press go...

if your still really stuck i can do it for you its literally a 2 second job
