First off, hello I haven't posted much (but lurked around for a few months) obligatory why I am new blah blah blah.
Over the last 2 months or so I have built up a travel niche page to 7500 followers all manually. I repeat no botting at all.
Now, I have a few questions to ask of much more experienced instagram users.

1. When you sell shoutouts, are you apart of a marketplace like Buysellshouts.com or are you independent? Are there any advantages to being independent, besides keeping 100% of profit?

2. I kinda want to buy a few fake followers to give me that boost for selling purposes. Would it be better to buy 1000 followers multiple times spread out (to not look so obvious) for a little bit more money? Or buy 10,000 followers all at once for less money, but looks a lot worse to people who may be paying attention.

Looking forward to hearing some advice, thanks.

Well all I can say on this is don't buy fake followers... quickest way to kill an account and make it in active.

Isn't there a way to buy some accounts that will stick long term?

Okay thanks for the advice, I wasn't sure if the boost would be enough to draw in more followers later on or not. I guess, I will just continue on manually adding followers. Could anyone answer my first question about selling shoutouts?

I say you bot for a little. Also make sure the stuff like using bots, or selling shouts is kept low key. If you want to bot that's up to you, personally I'm sketched out by all that stuff.

I think people selling followers is all fake, don't bother with that. It's all fake accounts. Far as selling shouts just do it yourself.

You can create a travel oriented website and monetize it with AdSense and promote it with your Instagram profile to your followers. Social media is probably the biggest way to drive traffic to a website. If you want to take it further, would start like that.

No one will pay attentions so if you want to go this route just get them all at once, there's no reason not to. On the other hand are you sure you want to add that many fake followers to your page? you engamenet and reach will drop and fewer people will see your updates in their feeds because of this.

How will my engagement and reach drop? The people that have followed me from before will still follow me if I post relevant posts. Plus, I have been lead to believe that when people look for which pages to follow, more followers is usually the first thing they look at.

It will drop because it is a % of people that engage/see the content out of your total likes and if you add 10k more likes that will never engage with your account that % will go way down. Yes, it's true that having more followers looks better, but that's mainly for new pages when you're just getting started, you shouldn't have that problem at 7.5k likes

I never buy fake followers.

From my experience and also some of my friends' in my IG circle have had their accounts banned during IG's "spring cleaning" which happens every 2-3 months. Sure there are accounts that survive but I don't want to risk it with my own accounts. Even with new accounts, I never buy fake followers.

Alright thanks guys!
So, what would you say is the best way to get people to buy shoutouts? Fiverr, Ebay, DM?
I will add a fiverr gig on for my account, but my current gigs didn't get many sales after the first month of joining.
I want to DM people, but don't want to sound fake/desperate/only in it for the money. Also, not sure what the limit is on DM's per day that I can send.
