Need some instagram advice

I've been running an Instagram page that posts the reddit videos. It's been 3 months and I've been posting daily, with about 8 missed days in total. I've been getting views, over 150k total as of now, but only 40 followers.

My question is how can I increase my followers count to eventually monetize it? Rn I'm just posting the video, not saying to follow in the video itself as that'd mean restructuring an algorithm I barely got right. That may be a factor. Any ideas appreciated.

Need more info :

1.What is your niche?
2.How many videos do you post in a day?
3.Why repost specifically from only Reddit?

Some tips to convert the viewers to followers :

1.Add a CTA at the end of video by editing it to follow your account for more content like this.
2.Add a CTA in caption to follow account.
3.Try providing a snippet in the shorts and keep the whole video, ask in the video to visit profile and follow account to see more, This way the user gets forced to visit your account and eventually follow.
4.Try to do some sort of giveaways related to your Niche.

Your reel views are pretty good. You can ask the audience to follow the account at the end of the video, this might help you.
 
Keep creating reels that the audience wants, followers will grow, patience is key

Try to post something in the caption which can make them follow your account.
Check posts that game the most follows and try to do more of those types of posts.
Engage with your niche audience and get more people on your profile.
Do some testing with BIO and profile picture etc and see what converts well and keep that.

Thats relatively normal. Most people will follow you only after seeing few of your good reels pop up in their explore or somewhere.

On one of my pretty good accounts, i usually get maybe ~100 followers from a reel that gets 100-120k views.
So keep posting, it will grow eventually.
 
You need to post reels frequently and use hashtags related to your content. Using popular tracks can also be very useful. Do not forget to engage with your audience, it's a good way to make them continue following you.
 
Since you have enough viewer, it left to convince them to follow you. You can announce a giveaway on your page but only available for your followers.

Any ideas on how to do this? It's an Instagram page on reddit posts.
 
You can trick your viewers to follow your account through your reels. You can ask them to follow your page to win a prize or promote them as you are already getting a lot of views. This may help you to get a lot of followers.

But it's a page that shares reddit stories. Not sure if it'd work.
 
Create a video of 2 parts
Post part 1 and write in the caption follow for part 2
Wait 24h then post part 2
However with the amount of views you're getting just a basic cta like follow for more will be enough
