Need some insite on sms sending via website

Ive done quite a bit of reading on sms sending and the gateways. I'm interested in sms sending using spoofed numbers ive heard its really easy to do. The last person I talked to that owned a website based sms bomber said it doesnt take long to set up and it somehow uses telnet. Does anyone know anything else about how this works im having issues finding any information about this. Ive seen sms senders that simply use the gmail method which is rather a lame way of doing it cause theirs no spoofing. For the future i plan on putting a sms sender on my webserver but i'm still doing research. Any help is appreciated.
