NEED some HELP with scripts and facebook apps

Hey guys I need some help with facebook apps and scripts. I am confused on how to do this. When you find a script, where does the script get posted?? And what does it mean when you have to place your app id?

Example: I want to use a facebook like to share script. But I am unsure as to where I need to paste the coding
