Need some help with a new site

Hello everybody
In may I start a new holiday rentals site (wwwdot123rentalsdotnet). The thing is that the domain name is very generic, I am interested in holidays rentals mallorca keywords and a guy told me that the url name is very important so I create a new domain (wwwdotholidayrentalsmallorcadotnet) and redirected to the other site.
Is it advisable to do this?. From now, should I work on SEO with the new domain or the old domain?

Do a 301 redirect from your old site to your new and continue doing SEO on your new site. In order to do the 301 correctly you will need to edit the .htaccess file. There are plenty of sites that show you this. Just search Google on how to do a 301 redirect.

Thanks a lot for your help, I have the url with godaddy and they have an option to redirect; should I do it manually with .htaccess file?

I would create two different sites. Keep the existing one the way it is and on the second new domain set up a blog on it and post to it regularly and see which one does better for the keywords that you want.

domain name

you want it to be simple, short and easy for someone to remember not really a long domain name.

Search engines like them simple and short

Should I create backlinks manually or is enough automatic backlinks?. What is the best I can do now?

...some manual added quality backlinks in the mix help allot. Also try to get some web2.0 properties running and give them some boost (with links) and let those than in return boost your web site. And dont forget to make the original website look original and trustworthy. Especially in the rental market trust is very important...

Thanks to all for your help. Today if you do a search in google with the keywords "holiday rentals mallorca" the blog (wwwdotholidayrentalsmallorcadotnet) is in position 11 in google with PR1, it's that good enough?. The blog is only two days old and the domain one week.
