I've been a facebook addict for years- sold invites, friends, accounts, what not. Well, i decided to get OFF of that train and start with my own website. I'm trying to get a small social network going, and i believe this site will explode with the right help. I'm wanting a few pros to come show me some ropes [yes, i'm a noob- gotta start somewhere XD], and compensate with some facebook related help if needed, or other favors. Give me a shout if you think you can give me some valuable help. I need to find a reliable buddy who has some extra time on their hands.

After Facebook expanded in late 2005 , every talented programmer started working on their own social networking websites , Thinking they're going to be the next big thing ...P.S: THEY ALL FAILED!
not trying to discourage you directly but unless you have THE new killer idea and the knowledge to implement it personally without the help of anyone...then go for it ... if not? stick to Facebook it will probably make you more revenue...:)

Well, i'm not looking for the next big thing, just a start in an under-represented niche. I know it will be big for those who are targeted by it, but again i'm not looking for anything big. I believe it has serious potential- but it's more of a passion, this niche is anyways. I think i have the proper attitude regarding this site- i'm looking to expand my already 4,200 strong (facebook based) community, and give it it's own mark on the web- i'm not looking for revenues and profits.

However, if i were to hit the jackpot, money would be great LOL. But i'm just trying to bring this community to the next level. I've set up a membership/social site, but it's not where i want it to be just yet. Trying ning out for the time being, then once i do bring in a little profit, i'm going to expand & advertise. I'm just in the dark about things such as SEO, web design, hosting, etc. I'm FAR from a site builder haha.
