I need some help about my hosting transfer from hostgator

can anyone help me of transferring it..

Most web hosts will transfer your files for FREE when you switch to them, if you are transferring to Hostwinds we can transfer all your files + settings + email accounts, 100% free of charge.

If you go to the backups section of your cPanel, and "Creat a Full Backup/CPMove File" most hosts will be able to restore that file, assuming they are not resellers

Back up all your files before cancel hostgator. This is first and most important step. You can use FTP to download all files to you pc. If there are any database in your sites, back up them. Change you DNS to new hosting server. Upload all files to the new server.

Like spydure says, most hosts will transfer you easily if you are going to/from the same control panel.
cPanel has a transfer function built into it that makes it stupidly easy to move accounts.

Never ask your current host to transfer to another host for you, or give your current host any reason to think you are transferring. Some hosts will prematurely cancel your account and hold everything hostage until you pay an extremely high fee.

I need someone who can help me now with wordpresss.

First of all im very noob with this set up thing ..thanks

If you have created a new database, you need to re- configure wp-config.php file. Follow the steps showed in your screenshot, if you can not solve it, pm me.

Use your favorite FTP utility to download all files to your computer from your web host. Don't assume you already have all the files on your computer - you may have added some scripts from the Net that are on your server but not on your computer. If you are using Dreamweaver, use the GET command to copy all your files. If you are using Frontpage, use the import feature to make a complete copy of the old web site.
Choose a new Web Host that meets the needs of your web site
Contact the domain name registrar (place where you registered your domain name) and change the Domain Name Server (DNS) or Name Server information to your new hosts DNS information.
You can check the progress of your domain name transfer by using a Domain Name Search facility. You should see the details change from your previous Host to your New Host when
the transfer is complete.
When you are sure your domain name has been transferred, upload
the files to your new Web Host.

I know this is old thread, but I forget to renew my hosting because I have like 9 websites with one host and only this one was with another one and on different email.. Long story short, they want me to pay 40$ for three months, I have ftp dowloaded via blogvault dot net ( i thought i would be able to restore my website with this but it always shows that the page can't be accesed from that folder or some crap like that, even thought i did it like in tutorial video)
So I've tried to restore my website with ftp connecting via total comander i changed wp-config to pws from my current databases, but it is still not working, it is showing me fatal error.
Is there anything I have to forgot? Is there any way to fix this or I have to pay the bloody 40$?
