Ok so after a lot of reading I said to much reading no action! So I started with a website got accepted at some CPA networks .Website is up and running indexed in google ,cpa offers are in place but NO VISITORS :((

So here I am in need in some help from someone kind enough to teach me something.
My main keyword is "free photos" about 7 mil searches with low competition.Did I mess up when I chose the keyword?

Also images are not indexed in google:| Only blog contact etc

If anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it.Sorry for my english
Thanks

PS: PM me for my website link.I can 't post it here

OK, when someone searches for "free photos", do you think they're actually looking to buy any?

They are not for s-a-l-e...They are free high quality stock photos.I give them for free and put a cpa locker on each photo..

Well, considering that the first page of search results is pretty much filled up with PR5-PR7 pages you can safely say that traffic you're not going to see in the next 3 years without a help of an expert.

Don't take it as a screw-up, take it as a trampoline - people who dont make mistakes are people who dont act.

The keyword is really competitive. Not a good choice for a beginner. Find some better keywords and write individual blog posts around them example:free photos of vintage trucks

As lecca suggested, its better to start from a less broad term, then slowly expand. Traffic from less popular keywords will keep you motivated to continue.

In other words, what the other posters are saying is you are 6 layers away (Page Rank 7) from attracting the swarms of customers
you want to attract.
It's all about positioning. How can you position yourself and what you have in a torrent of traffic and what are some of the biggest traffic flows
online?
Facebook
Youtube
Craigslist
Squidoo
You can think of others. Social platforms that are so huge they rival G@ggle in search activity.
Twitter
Amazon
Yahoo Groups
A search of this forum shows ways these platforms are being used to earn. How can you link what you now do, or want to do, to that flow of income?

what about backlinks? wouldn't they help me?
I don't need 1 mil visitors /month:)) ...but 2-3k would be more than enough for a start to get motivated
Also I was thinking to start with facebook and youtube...but I wanted to see some traffic from google first

I personally never saw any good traffic from Facebook or Youtube, its barely 0.1% of the traffic I'm getting from Google. I have been trying to improve that number without success for over a year. Even when things became viral the traffic I got wasn't converting.

It might be I am bad with social networks, but I tend to believe that Facebook, Youtube and alike require a very careful choice of niche. So my advice, stick with Google and waste time with social networks only when you have a time to waste.

The competition you see in Google Adwords tool has nothing to do with SEO. It reflects the bidding costs on Adwords.

Adwords is an auction, the more competition the more you will pay per click. So theoretically its possible to find keywords with high adwords competition but low SEO competition, and vise versa.

I understand so how do you research low competition keywords if not with google's keyword tool?
Thanks for your help so far

Thanks ...I didn't find this tutorial yet

Indeed a great tutorial ,now I just have to find some good keywords...lot of work....anyway very helpful Thank you

Yeah ... such a highly competitive word ... Though. why are you moving only to it?. Here, for example, typing a word in semrush, I got a list of words similar topics: free photo editing software, stock photos free, free photo software, paint, free pics and a lot of words. Can see yourself ... they have also good indicators.

If you have bought the domain and really gave decided to go for "free photos" niche, I would suggest you to pick some long tail keywords, rank them start getting some traffic and money.
Reinvest the money to increase the authority of your website and at the same time targeting other keywords.
Rinse and repeat until you get your goal ;)
