I'm trying to get a basic model together to get me started. I'll get into my niche and my struggles in a second, and specifically what I'd like help with is at the end. It's a slightly long read.

My plan is to have one long-form article, and then derive several X posts or threads from it. The most significant reason for doing it this way is because I simply lack the creativity necessary to do better. I can manage one long-form article a week, and I'd like to just milk that for the content necessary for my X account.

Mostly the purpose of these X posts is so that my X account has more content. However I don't want to put all of that effort into creating basically worthless (from a persuasion perspective) content either.

I'm doing lifestyle BDSM content, so some adult video and images, and some articles about BDSM lifestyle issues (I'll stick with the term "article" for all of the different content types). This is adding to the difficulty I'm having with applying the copywriting advice I come across. Most of it seems to be written as advertisements to sell courses for other people writing advertisements. But how do I create pain, agitate the pain, and then present the solution, when what I'm producing is basically a subscription to see my butt and read my thoughts about that fact?

So I want the derived X content to achieve one of three things:
  1. Get people to visit my substack and subscribe so I can get their email (and eventually get their money too)
  2. Get people to visit my fan page and subscribe so I can get their money
  3. Get people to follow and repost my X content so I can extend my reach
The purpose of every X post is one of those three things. I eventually want the content on my fan page and substack to drive traffic to each other. But that's not a priority right now.

I want to derive seven X posts/threads from each article, and I'll post each of these derived pieces once a week. One of these snippets should announce the article and I'll post that on the day of the article.

The problems I run into are the following. First I came across someone that suggested I create stories, past vs present, listicles, etc. But aside from "listicle" I don't actually know what any of that means? Would it be a problem if all the posts I create have the exact same structure and only differ in their content?

Could I just take my article, shove it into one of the copywriting framework acronyms seven times and get decent enough content to get started with from it?

How do I create a hook post? What does that even mean in my case? All of the examples are like "your job sucks, my content makes your job better" type things. But that's not at all my case.

Is all of copywriting dependent on making people feel bad first? My boss has opinions on how I create this content and positivity is one of them. I figure pointing out something that sucks and then mentioning something that doesn't would be fine. But there's definite limits in how far I can go with that kind of thing.

I will probably become more sophisticated and get better at applying the strategies I'm reading about over time. But right now I'm trying to come up with something that's just good enough to get me to my first 3k followers on X with a 1% conversion rate to my other content.

??? You're way overthinking this. You're selling pictures of your butt, the pain is that they're horny and want to see pictures of butts, but they only get small glimpses on X. You don't have to say anything negative, you just have to tell them how awesome the rest of the content is and where to find it.

When you produce content, pull out small clips and post them online with a link to where people can find the rest. Then you make sure your profile picture conveys that you're the type to sell butt pics and go out and comment in places your audience is hanging out, like replying positively to tweets from other adult content producers. That's it, that's the whole strategy.

The first thing you should do is create a main "hub" content piece that thoroughly covers a wide range of topics. Then, to improve SEO and engagement, create "spoke" content pieces that delve deeper into subtopics and all link back to the primary hub.

That's actually a very good point. I do have something of a tendency to overthink things. Thank you for laying it out so clearly though. You've saved me a great deal of over complication.
