Need Some Encouragement

I have literally put my whole life on the line to succeed in IM.(...) I work everyday all day and I give it my all. (...) I cannot sleep most nights and my life is consumed around trying to get to where I want to go.

The last few weeks I have seem to be in a slump or something as I feel my productivity has dropped. How do you guys keep the productivity up and how do you assess what you have done and where you are going?

Dan,
I don't know what IM methods you're using nor I'm qualified to give you technical advice on that. But, for the sentences quoted above, I get the big picture on your method to face work (and I'd say life, as well).

Working everyday all day, putting everything on the line to succeed, loosing your friends on the way (whatever excuses, nevermind)... Now, you even say you cannot sleep most nights (I suppose you just can't disconnect from work). Could you think of a sicker lifestyle?

  • Where on earth will you find the energy it takes to succeed, if you live ball-chained to a computer?

  • What about the fresh ideas, those twists that usually make the difference? Do you expect them to flow to a tired, bored to death brain?
  • Not to mention productivity. What productivity do you expect from a worker who subconsciously knows that he can spend every hour in the day and every day in his life to complete his assignments? Where is the pressure? and the prize?
Believe what others posted before. Right now, an afternoon off, some sport, meeting with friends, a walk in the park... can do more good for your business (not to say your happiness) than your current routine.

Are you down? Learn how to play any instruments. Whenever I feel down about IM, I "channel" my feeling on the guitar. I swear it does wonders :D

Good luck OP

What are your eating patterns? A while back i felt tired and depressed all the time too (it lessened a bit by working out but still not enough to fully stop it) till i started to change up my diet.
2 Easy steps you can take is start increasing water intake and tone down/get rid of soda's/sugar. Those 2 things toned down the depression and and upped my energy.
There is more to eating right then these things but hydration and insuline stabilization are very important points for your body.

Try it out, see what effect it has on your wellness.

you cannot give up. thats an order in your mind ... you may slow its a wave comes up and down ... make schedule ... meet friends and STOP DAMN SKYPE my biggest problem :(((

Thanks guys. So, I took the weekend off completely from IM. No computer, no work, nothing! And, I realized that I was just going through the motions and wasn't giving myself much needed breaks. I realize that this is a constant learning experience that tests you every step of the way.

I realized I had been racing against myself and comparing myself to other's successes. I was wrong with that thinking. I need to just start enjoying the process and my success is MY success and every one is on there own path.

Thanks guys, you will see an update soon when I have achieved my dreams :)
