Need Some Clarification with my case!

okay guys i'm totally newbie that's why i can't tell if which is right in this scenario.

straight to the case :
I purchase a site in BST section, He(service provider) gave me the market research/keywords related in my niche to choose from and some . com available domains. So, I choose a keyword with 110 000 Global monthly searches and 90 500 local searches and He made the site and I purchased SEO Service from a friend BUT it's late when I knew that all the keywords He gave are "broad searches" not "exact searches". When I search my keyword in Google Keyword Tool in exact searches it only has 46 Global searches and 36 local monthly searches! damn failed!lol

But the main keyword has 122,000,000 results and 4,760,000 results in "qoutes" in Google.

The domain is a . com with the main keyword. It is not in top 1000 before the off-site seo campaign BUT after 48 hours of doing off-site seo campaign my site is rank 4 in main keyword and rank 1 in main keyword with "quotes".

So here's my questions and I want some clarification as a newbie.
Q1 : Is the seo service I purchased good?
or
Q2 : It is easy to rank with my main keyword cause it only has 46 global and 36 monthly searches? but again it has 122,000,000 results and 4,760,000 results in "qoutes" .

Q1- If the service was sold to you using broad searches as a metric of what kind of traffic you would get then the answer is NO, as you are finding out broad is not a good indicator of the kind of traffic you will receive. If he is saying that the broad numbers are a good indicator of traffic than he is being very misleading. If he is very clear that he is using broad numbers and not making any traffic claims then less misleading but I still have to wonder why use the broad numbers at all.

Q2- Yes it is easy to rank for a keyword with only 46 searches because nobody is bothering to target it.

The total number of results really does not mean anything. To make any money on a keyword you really need to be on the first page so all of those other "results" are meaningless. The only competition that counts is the sites on the first page.

Ranking #1 while doing a search in quotes really does not mean much either, nobody really searches that way so again not really meaningful. Your #4 results is good and probably means you can get to #1 but that leads us to your biggest problem.

Broad searches do not really mean much as a general rule which is why every uses exact. That fact that your keyword only gets 46 searches a month means even with a #1 ranking you are not going to get much in the way of traffic. The best thing you try and do is find 5-10 related keywords that get more traffic to target that you can add to the site.

so, do you mean that the seo service i purchased is low class? cause i'm only rank 4 in the keyword that has 46 global monthly searches?

PS All the sites in page one in that keyword are PR 5-6 except mine PR 0.

For SEO service, it takes time and in some cases quick result happen in 2 weeks. Do you get any traffic right now from that ranking? Please PM me the bst thread so I can avoid it.

I second volund. Also am facing some similar issues as in thread creator, need some advice from seo experts.
