Need some advice

I used to work for another company now working for myself. I have have regular contact with clients from some of the clients that my old company still contacts.
I have found out today that my old company has been discussing my private life with some of these clients. Something I havent done with them. I contacted one of the directors of the company via email to ask them to stop only to be told I am a lunatic and its all in my head. I have worked hard to build up a business and wondered if there is anything I can do .

What's your proof? Hearsay? Unless you have substantial evidence and your old firm has some deep pockets no lawyer will touch this unless this is on your dime. Move on!
