Hi Everyone!
I'm a newbie in IM and after weeks of lurking I decided that I will make an amazon niche site.
The site is up and running for a few days by now and making a small traffic. Now I try to dig myself in on-page SEO and I have some questions.
The first problem is that I have a main page where you can select the 'product family' you're interested in.
In addition I have a page where all of my products are listed.
To make it clear, I have three pages:
" 'product name' reviews 2015",
" 'product name for A' reviews 2015" and
" 'product name for B' reviews 2015" and the main page.
My first question is that should I get rid of the main page and try to rank the page where all my products are listed?
If I would have a keyword-domain, I'd remove the main page immediately, but I have a brand-type of domain.
I will definitely add articles and content to the site, that's the only reason I'd leave the main page, to develop it into an authority site.
My second question is that when I make on-page SEO, should I make the optimization with the keyword "product name"
or with the "best product name" or maybe with "product name reviews 2015"?
I know these might be stupid questions but I'm just a beginner, thank you for any response!

No response? I thought there's a lot of affiliate program gurus here.
Just to update those who are interested in the topic, I left the homepage up and made a comparison chart of my products on a new page. I try to generate traffic with my growing twitter profile. It's a pet supply-related product so it's relatively easy to get followers. I sent 30 visitors to amazon till now, but they didn't click on the product link, they clicked on my amazon banner. No sales up until now, but the site is not even one week old yet.

firstly mate there is no such thing as a stupid question, a question is because you are unsure of something so it's not stupid to ask. I picked up on your comment about brand name in you domain name, be careful with that as i was very nearly sued by the olympic authority for using the word in a domain name and spent weeks convincing them not to sue me for breach of copyright.
Anyway, what type of site is it - A blog or ecommerce site?

Thank you for the reply!
For the brand name I used pretty common words, so I don't think that should be a problem. Well, I made long reviews of the 15 best products in my niche and added my amazon links. In addition I wrote 5 articles in my niche and I want to add one on each day from now, so it works more like a blog at the moment. The plan is to write interesting articles and get traffic from twitter and other social media. For now my goal is to make one sale, just to prove that I can make money this way. From time to time I have doubts that my products are even worth the work, because it's not expensive (30-60$), but I guess the key to success will depend on the traffic.
