I've been using web 2 properties for link building and it's been working well, but I just had a bunch of Wordpress blogs deleted for spam and it's making me rethink how I go about this. I'd appreciate any advice on the following:

If you're using web 2 properties as your first tier -

1. Is it important that they be related to the topic of the money site you're linking them to?

2. Is it best to create a new set of properties for each project (like one for each money site)?

3. How many links to the money site do you put in each post?

4. How many posts do you need, and how often do you need to add posts?

Thanks!

I can't help but am interested to read the answers:)

1. No, but it is better if they are.

2. Yes

3. 1 (you can have more than 1 backlink per post, but there isn't much point have more than 1 to the same domain).

4. As many as you can get, as often as you can be bothered.

So this can be done with sub-pages like so-and-so.wordpress.org?

How many properties is an effective amount to use? Definitely want to try this for my main site but would be good to have an idea of timescales and also what sort of keywords can you target using a method like this (i.e. how competitive)??

Subdomains, yes.

Pick a number. Any number. What it boils down to is the fact that the more and more diverse you have, the lesser of a footprint you leave behind you. So just go with however many you're comfortable with.

And then I guess link to those web 2's , blast them, or blast the links etc.?

I know these are noob questions:) gonna buy some articles and get started with this... :)

Ok question time over :)
