Need some advice on how to get more traffic.

I have paid for backlinks and etc. to be made in the last week but it will take a few weeks before all the links get indexed and before my site even appears ranked for the keywords that i am competing in. I have tried using Adwords and Facebook to try and get some traffic but now Adwords is taking days just to approve an ad and Facebook doesn't bring in the kind of traffic that I need.

So the real question is - Does anyone have any suggestion on what I should do to get some good potential traffic for my site? So that some sales are generated while I wait for my backlinks and etc. to kick in.

Extra info: I'm retailing Apple related products specifically for the iPhone and iPads.

First of all, I believe you mean adwords, not "adsense". And it really depends on the reason you need the traffic. Be a little more specific on what you need the traffic for.

Without knowing the reason why you need the traffic I say you should get back down to basic.

Article writing, web 2.0, manual blog commenting, go to apple forums, put the link in your sig and post relevant/useful content (useful thing about forums is that you can scrape stuff from articles etc), you can do facebook the old fashioned way liking/following pages or people hmmm now that I think about it you can also do Pinterest as well. And hey while your at it make your website suitable to phones and start doing some free promotions on apps like that one that facebook bought.

I am only assuming that you want something to do in the mean time.

That's a pretty good list, i've done most of it so far but at least that gives me somewhat of a checklist!
