Ok, since I haven't really did videos anytime in my life, I just want to make simple slideshow, I know before they were made with Windows Movie Maker, but that is kind of outdated, which program should I use to make just a simple quick slideshow to drive traffic to my blog... Thanks in advance...

It's easy to do it. Just use powerpoint and export in mp4
If you want to capture your screen or link sequences use Camtasia.

Sony Vegas 10, 11 or 12 and use transitions to make slideshow look good + do not forget to search for good royalty free music
