    Giuni,

I don't think you know how to analyze or appraise websites. A website that makes $200 income a month is ATLEAST $4,800. (you take $200 x 24 for the two years income mark)

You will never get that price! Maximum price is 6 months, because the buyer will never know if the site will drop or etc.

Id say, if you are lucky, then 1000-1200, but more reasonably 600-800.

I once sold a website which made me $100 per month for $500 so its reasonable for monthly earning x5

Your assumption is exactly why 99% of the .com industry failed to meet obligations to investors.

How many websites do you know 10 years ago still exist. Seriously, excluding Google, MSN, Yahoo, eBay, etc., that we're branded with multi billion dollar budgets - how many niche sites do you know exist for 10 years? 5 Years?

In 2001, 75% of the internet was using Napster. Today, maybe 1% uses it. People replaced Napster with Kazaa. Today, nobody uses Kazaa.

That's not to say that your site can continue to prosper and grow for the next 2 years - or even thereafter - but dont fool yourself by assuming that just because today its making $200 that next year will be the same.

Your Alexa rankings demonstrate a site that gets less than 800 uniques a day. So not sure what the conversion rate is. A good conversion (for google ads) is 5%. An average is 3.5%.

If you we're to sell it straight out - you'd probably make no more than $700 providing that everything checks out.

@ Potential Buyers - Always remember to check things out accordingly. It's very easy to have one Google account processing several domains which means that $200 or even $2000 a day could theoretically be from multiple sources. In short, do your homework.

    Cheers,

Fact is, most people here invest $600 and expect to see $60,000 within 2 months. Most of the tools in this community we're not designed to withhold 24 month retention.

I don't think you know how to analyze or appraise websites.

And neither do you...hence your original question and the dodgy maths..

Great..then try and sell it for that amount..!!:swordfigh

Sorry about the double post. Btw, you will notice the second post is a little different than the first post relative to price.

Realistically as of the current moment, I'm thinking about selling it for $30k+ The fact that it is such a good alexa ranking is important. By december if the alexa ranking goes below 100,000 the website (in my observations) should be $75,000 or more. Remember I'm going to sell it to private companies with big budgets not in forums.

I'm not going to lie, I'm surprised no one has suggested over $10k.

Haha. 10k for something that brings in $200 a month? Even $1000, I wouldnt buy for 10k.

Like most .com business - you may get lucky (or fall upon an incredibly stupid investor) :)

lol 10k are u nuts? Average sales are around 10Months worth of profit i.e $200 x 10 $2000 -- But thats only if the site has been making a consistant $200 for a matter of months, not since last week!

I dont think you realize the full potential of the website. The correct price would be atleast hundred billion dollars- 100 000 000 000$

You can list it on ebay and I wouldnt be suprised If you get twice the rpice I suggested. Maybe even someone on this forum will buy it and just pay with paypal. Think BIG!

A formula I use to calculate the value of a website. HxRxDxTxE= P

    P- Selling price
    E- current monthly earnings
    T- Current date
D- Year the domain was created
    R- Random number
    H- My height in cm
    182x358x2005x2x200= 52255112000$

And remember, always be professional, If someone tries to buy your website instantly sai One Hundred Billion Dollars, then they know you mean business and pay the price!

    lol

to be honest its not worth over 600 700 dollar mark.. reason being its not the only hiphop website.. so whose to say no one can start another similar one..
as an investor thats the first thing to look at....
there r more established hiphop websites that can easily steal ur visitors

    secondly whats ur burnout..
wat do u put in every month to make 200 dollrs.. wanting to sell a website for 10k wen it makes 200 it wud take 5 yrs with no raise in earnings lts say to recover ur initial cost.!

who wud pay 10k for it then? unless u find sum1 who has no idea about the internet or how business is dun.. ur in for a big downer..
best bet is to alteast increase th earnings by 500% and maybe ull be able to sell it for 3k to 5k max

If that's what you're aiming at (despite contrary advice/opinion here) then just do it - it's only you that will benefit from the sale anyway so unless you're looking for some ego boost by ppl here saying it's worth xxx when they don't think it is, don't waste time trying to get someone else to confirm a valuation that you already think you have nailed - just try and make your site more likely to reach your target value.

Honestly - so many posts here seem to be ego driven sometimes - just do it - as the famous saying goes "less talk, more do!" - well, ok - perhaps it's not a famous saying, but it should be!

And sorry in advance if I've misunderstood, it just gets a bit frustrating seeing quite a few posts saying "what do you think...?" and people taking the time to reply, only to have the OP stick with their (often over-inflated but initially unstated) self-view anyway - if you know the answer then why ask the question?

    Hi,

First thing to know: Something is only worth what someone will pay for it.

Will you get 30k for your site? I would say no. Will you get 10k? I would say no. Will you get $1,000. If you can prove everything then yeah maybe you will get someone to fork over a grand...probably not though.

All you have to do is either throw it up on flippa or egay and see what happens.

I am rooting for the much lower figures people have thrown out.

Where did you come up with if it has an alexa rating of 100k or less it is automatically worth 75k? If this is true geeze it would be easy to get rich.
