Hi all, I have a 3 years old website that's is currently ranked well. 20+ articles. Two keywords was #1, few other keywords ranked from #4 to #7. I get around 200 UVs daily from Google. However one of my best keyword recently falled from #1 to #3. My traffic just slightly decreased but i'm worrying that if i dont do anything, competitors will jump over me at other keywords in future. I didnt do any SEO since almost 3 years ago.

I want to get that keyword back to #1 and also want to bring some others to higher position. Do you have any recommendation ? The process must be slow and steady because this site bring 80% of my income and i dont want to risk it :)

    Thanks.

Look at what websites / pages are beating you. What are they doing?

It's hard to say what you need with the amount of info provided.

    - I would look into a quality SEO service that provides link diversity and can be drip fed.
    - I would look to see if I can improve the on-page SEO
    - I would look into adding more fresh, good content and drip feed it.

    Track. Analyze. Adept.

How many local searches does your keyword get a month?

    In the sandbox. Again.
If this was 3 years ago, you may not have enough link diversity for today's Google. Drip out 50 links a day with lots of different related keywords. Send me a PM if you need help with this.

Could you suggest a quality service that is safe for money site, i'm thinking about Black Hole Seo or Dripable.

About adding content, its very hard to find a good content source, hiring a writer to write blog post isnt cheap at all.

You could always write content yourself. If 80% of your income is coming from the site then that should be a great motivator :D

The first thing you need to do is a competitive analysis. You can use SERPIQ.com They have a trial/free version as well. Try building some links to the corresponding LSI keywords (for link diversity). Get some Fresh content or Update the present article. It shouldn't be tough to get back.
