Need SEO Advice

Hey people,

Soon I will launch my new website. And as I want it to be successful very fast I guess I should be mainly focussing on the SEO, if I'm not mistaking.

I am pretty new to the arena of SEO and I have not seen anything that explains the basic guidelines and what some words mean and such.

So I have questions:
1. How should I actually begin to get started quite well?

2. What tools do you recommend for me to definitly use?

3. What are the main things that I need to be focussing on?

Please anyone who could answer them for me. Hints and tips are welcome too!

My advise to you is first to work on the content and your site optimization before you move further. Plan before you start building your site: what pages would you like, research popular keywords in your field and build the content around them. Remember content is king, enter as much relevant content you can it should be original and not coppied from other sites.

Yes do we need a different page for each keyword that we want to build the content around...

Well, the site is already done for like 90%. Just needs a finishing touch. The design is simple but quite professional looking. It is not a site with a lot of content. It's a site where people will be able to watch videos in HD. Just a homepage and from there people will get access to all videos. They just click a link and the player will pop up.

I know many people are looking for a site like mine, even I was before I got the idea.

Bottomline:
The site is original and not in need of a lot of content/articles.

But what about the site optimisation?
Can you explain a little more about that into details?

Go and learn White hat SEO first, then do Black hat when you have a good understanding of White.
 
First make sure the content on the page is top notch. Second go too the search bar and type in scrapebox and find the sales thread you can get a copy for i think $57 (Good discount) With that you should be able to backlink your site fairly well and see one hell of a traffic increase.

I just got a copy 3 days ago after doing a ton of research and the results i have gotten with it have been amazing.

This is the best advice. Learn to do everything the right way before you turn to the darkside.
 
Go look for 'backlink jackpot' in the downloads section. He walks you through exactly what you need to do.
