Im currently with hostwinds and their email sucks to be honest. Emails dont go through and I get a bunch of error codes coming back. Their support doesnt seem able to handle this so im looking for some alternatives. I need a reliable host that has clean ip's to send from. Im not doing any email marketing, just emailing local contacts that I have known for years and have been emailing before, really no reason why they shouldnt go through.

im getting 554 blocked and 554 denied codes. The emails were also not passing the SPF inspection (or whatever its called) until I got support to add it in last night.

anyone know how to fix these errors or have any suggestions on a good company? I was thinking about switching to godaddy(dont want to if i dont have to) or namecheap (haven't heard an personal reviews regarding their email)

iFastNet.com ... check out their plans. It seems to me they are able to satisfy all your needs.

554 errors may occur due to several reasons. For example if the mails contain spam contents, relay access is denied, Invalid recipient, Message not accepted for policy reasons, no mailbox with that name etc. The list goes on. If you could get back with the exact error , it would be helpful in finding the exact reason for the same.

Also if you are bulk mailing, you may use mailing list, mail group (depends on the control panel you are using) for that purpose if you have the list of recipients with you.

If you are looking for another hosting service , I would recommend to look for a hosting that promise strong email security, which uses strong anti spam software, with IPs with good reputation and has no history of RBL blacklisting.

Thanks for the suggestions guys

Not even, more like 50-70 a day to local contacts that have been emailed before

Thanks for the tips in things to look for in a good email host. Ive attached a picture with the 554 error im getting to one email address specifically. Im not mailing in bulk at all, the most is a group email of 20 people once in a while. errors.JPG

As per the logs, it seems the email is rejected by the remote SMTP domain. The reason might be due to reasons like your mail server IP is on a blacklist, or the remote SMTP server might be blocking the IP due to bad reputation og the IP . These are a common issues for a shared hosting. so if you are on a shared hosting at present, we recommend to move to a VPS hosting, or have a clean IP dedicated to your domain so spamming from other accounts won't be affecting your account.

Most hosts will limit what you can do to be safe from spamming.

I'm agree with that your mail errors may occurred for the mails contain spam contents, relay acceess is denied, Invalid recipient and also for policy reasons, So You should be clear about the problem yourself. I'm with Offshore SEO VPS and emailing different reason. I've not get any problem yet and also they have kind support that reply instantly in business day. May take a journey to the provider has different plan and ask their CS about your demand, they will help you must.
