Hello friends, I have the following scenario:
- Old website(shop) that has a lot of crappy backlinks that were created several years ago.
- This website has taken an algo hit and although tried disavowing links I now consider this website non-recoverable.
- I still have a lot of direct traffic to this website and think a new domain would be the best solution.
So, to avoid the usual issues with a 301 redirect I want to avoid ANY risk of the bad links problem spilling over to the new domain.
What kind of method is best to redirect to the new domain so there is NO direct link to the new domain to be found on the old website, not even in the html code.
Some option I could think of:
- Maybe something with java script, encrypted, or not?
- A direct email reply by having the visitor enter their email address?(maybe would need an enticing offer to go with it)
- Or an interactive captcha like BHW also uses like topping a pizza and then show the visitor a picture with the url of the new domain name?
I am just rambling a few options as I am not really a technical guy nor very knowledgeable about redirecting.
I would really appreciate it if someone can help me with suggesting a solution.
Thank you.
