Lets say the keyword I want to target is "broach"

I also obviously want to target the plural "broaches"

How would you register a domain for this scenario?

broachinfo.xxx or broachesinfo.xxx

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Buy the singular(broach) version. Have the plural also mentioned in your header tags as well as on the content and the anchor text links you point to the site.

The first one would be better choice. Usually searches dont contain plurals

People search in plurals as much as they search for singulars. Ever heard of the adwords tool?

Just register the plural version as a .com, this way you have both versions at the start of your domain. Best of luck.

Register both singular and plural!!


301 the singular to the plural! And develop the plural

Register the plural or better yet check the stats of the plural and the singular form of the keyword then decide what to choose =)

I'd go for the singular only, searching for the plural will probably show the singular straight away (google at least). I'm not a really big fan of too many domains and redirects.

Not that my experience is how it will always happen, one site i have is the plural of the keyword it targets. It is ahead of the non-plural site (competitor version) for the non plural keyword. My site is about 1 year old, his site is 6 years old. His site is bigger and has more backlinks.
