The problem isn't the proxies, its your use of the proxies. So you can use public, private/shared, back connect etc... proxies, all will work fine, depending on how you use them. That said, back connect is its own animal really, but the below video addresses the public and private and how to use them.

As it was said, you can burn even the best proxies you can buy, because you probably used them too often. The important thing is also if you used complex queries, like inurl:, or site:, or you used words like "power by WordPress", if so you have to keep longer breaks between queries. I use massproxy.com with success, but my settings is 4-6 min / proxy / query. With such settings I run program 24h and didn't get a single ban.
