I have downloaded a new theme and while installing it via dashboard i got the following error .

    "
Incompatible Archive. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature "

this is a free theme . No premium version and i am using wordpress 3.0.1

This is the only free theme that i found which match my needs. If any one know here how to fix up this error then please help me .

Thanks for your help in advance..

Open the zip file and tell me what you see, sometimes you might need to unpack it from the zip and the actual theme is within another directory. So wordpress has a hard time finding it.

You could try unpacking the zip on your pc and then just upload the theme files to your website. After you do that you can go into the dashboard and the theme should be available for you to select without having to unpack it from within wp.
