Need information about cryptocurrency.

So, i'm looking to buy cryptocurrency. Most likely bitcoin and etheruem, but since i never bought cryptocurrency before i need help with wich wallet to choose from and what is better wallet on pc or smarthphone?

I will also need to know where to buy AND where to sell them later.

If you know nothing about crypto it's better for you to not deal with them. They have always been a big gample but today they are even more volatile than ever.
 
Long-term investing in them with some left-over money is what my plan is.

Exodus or Electrum
Both good digi wallets, check their fees and decide.

If you create a bitcoin wallet you can access it from your pc as well as your smart phone.... and now speaking of selling you will get a whole number of platform, you can do direct trading or use it in some purchase, or sell to a person.
 
Best wallets for storing:

1) Hardware - Ledger (if you have a lot of money stored in cryptos use this one)
2) Electrum - best wallet for storing BTC, has apps for most platforms
3) MyEtherWallet - best wallet for storing ETH, web only

As I only deal with ETH & BTC for long-term holding at the moment, these are the 2 wallets I use. For any other coin, use exchanges or the coin's personal wallet (risky though since they own your private keys) - Bittrex is my favorite as I haven't had problems with it so far and the deposits take a few minutes only to appear in your account.
 
Try Coinbase wallet. Its very fase and secure.
 
WEB Wallets : Blockchain.info(BTC and ETH), Myetherwallet(only ETH and Ethereum based coins)
Hardware : Ledger Nano S,
Desktop : Electrum, Bitcoin Core
Android : mycellium

Since you don't know where to start.You can directly buy bitcoin from Blockchain.info.It is better to start with a popular web wallet like Blockchain.info.Even though coinbase is a wallet it is more of an exchange.So security is less than Blockchain.info.

Hardware wallets are better but you need to take care of them about not getting lost.

Desktop wallets are safe and best among all.Electrum is lightweight and best.

Android users can use mycellium safely.
