I'm running a website that has an additional section for daily horoscope. I noticed that I'm top 10 when searching for a specific date (at least more than 2 days ago), but I'm not indexed the same day as my competitors so I'm losing tons of traffic there.

What's the most effective way to index a page same day?

Update your horoscope section daily with fresh content.
Submit XML sitemap promptly after updates.
Share on social media and use Google Search Console's "Fetch as Google" for immediate indexing.

yeah I did change XML yesterday from daily to hourly update for blog posts, so hopefully it will bring some results

I'll wait for a week and if it doesn't change I add the social media and google search console option you recommended :)

Google ignores changefreq mate. They only consider lastmod. You can use indexing api, fetch sitemap or fetch url manually.

I think then you need to update tons of content. Google help those types of website to get indexed soon.

You need to publish more quality articles with a proper internal linking structure, improve the website loading speed & performance, and optimize the pages for Google. As advised promote your articles on social media and build links from quality authority websites.

I used google url inspection and request for indexing yesterday before midnight. This morning I saw first google visitor for today's date :)

Ensure your website has a regularly updated sitemap, submit it to search engines promptly, utilize social media for immediate indexing signals, and prioritize high-quality, relevant content to improve same-day indexing.

To get your horoscope page noticed by search engines the same day, update it every day with fresh content and share it on social media to catch their attention fast.

To get indexed soon as everyone said you can try updating new contents regularly and you can try google indexing API or you can submit your XML sitemap to google and the fastest way is use social media to promote.

For indexing on the same day, you can use the API. It will help you index on the same day.
