Hello everyone, I need some input.

The customer is looking for a website that is a little different then the normal, but their unsure of what they want.

Its for a private security company, basically hired military contractors.

Their logo is black and red, the company is in Greece, but is in english, they want a mysterious look, but powerful.

HELP!!!

Go to freelancer.com and post a contest(elance and odesk doesn't have that feature) and you can easily get 10-20 different designs, but you'll have to pay.

Have a look at the websites of some of the other players in the industry - that'd be a good start and would give you some ideas.

Some of the companies I know of are:

Triple Canopy
Erinys
Control Risks
KBR
ITT

There are a lot of these companies around and most of them use ex military personnel.

I don't know if 'mysterious' would be the right impression to portray though.

The competition is fierce and clients are looking for professionality, track record, service, capabilities, etc. - not mysteriousness.

just one tip :
If you want that the site looks professional then you should use few colors on it like flat colors.

Good luck with your work.

I'm not sure if the mysterious was the right word. But more of behind the scenes I should of said.

Yeah I hear ya. I just don't want to make it like there's. All the ones I look at, are all corporate looking. I know they may be looking for the customers to view them as professional, but this customers wanted it to be more tough and strong looking.

Ok, so cheezy, 2001 Geocities, with a touch of style.

Find some big men in uniform and good posture (e.g. arms crossed, body straight up), make something like a dark room/corridor and place 4 of them on the left side, 4 on the right. Make a gradient so that their faces look darker that the body (more "hidden"). Place big bold red tag line in the middle "SECURITY". Add a slight bleeding shadow effect on the letters.

... j/k :)

Right... Thanks for the great inspiration
