Need Hosting that allows IRC

Hi,

I currently am using hostgator for a group forum that I run. I want to embed IRC chat in the forum but hostgator doesn't allow IRC functionality. Any shared hosting I could switch to that allows this?

Irc server can't be run on a shared server. You need a vps or a a dedicated server. There are some cheap VPSs out there that cost $5-10/mo

I know that. I don't want to host an IRC server. I just want to run an IRC client. they won't allow it, because the cut there servers off from connect through IRC.

I can offer you shared hosting thats ok to use an IRC client.

If you just need a simple ircd running like unrealircd or whatever, i can set it up for you, send the admin logins and that's all.

It's really not a problem, pm me if you need it.

I can do it like maybe 12hrs from now on for free.
I was using irc back in the days for many many years so It's really no biggie to host a simple ircd for you.

Won't cost you anything, IRC servers consume very little resources.

2. supported encryption types if needed
