Hey . So , I got my first domain few days ago , looking to start a web page ,but I have no clue about hosting. I could use a cheap hosting for more than one small affiliate site. I looked around and there are alot of nice sites that offer hosting , like hostgator, hostingwinds, goddady ... Could anyone suggest the best solution for me ?

Quick question: if I'm not from US but I want to target US market , do I need US based hosting ? If that makes any sense

Hostgator has been reliable for me. I have tried others but had a bad experience with one so I opened a second Hostgator account. I target local businesses in the USA and tried using a Canadian hosting service that was rock solid and extremely fast, but my sites didn't get the same "love" from Google. So, I would say you will have an easier time if you us a USA hosting company. Not saying you can't rank with a hosting company outside the USA, but why fight harder than you have to for rankings...

GoDaddy is good quality but high price.

On the other end of the spectrum, iPage is low quality and low price.

As SashaBlack says, it depends on how you want your website to be.

I have hosting with bulletproofvps and I'm happy with them. You need to choose hosting depends of what type of website you want to build, what niche?

If you are not using too much of resources ,then you might need a cheap hosting like 25$ year to get started,later you may upgrade it.

Since you just started, and you're about to make website, there's no need to buy more expensive packages because they surely aren't necessary at the beginning, and probably you'll never need it.
Choose some USA host with good reputation in price range $2-$5 per month (where you're able to pay monthly) - Eleven2 and Hawkhost are pretty solid, though you can look at marketplace section here.
In time, you can easily upgrade hosting package if needed.

In my opinion, HostForLIFE.eu will work for you! I have good things only to say about them the staff members there are all extremely fast and have always gone out of their way to assist me when I have needed it. I haven't experienced any downtime at all so far. Highly recommended.
